Treatment Deferrals & Amendments

Treatment Deferrals & Amendments

In the event of a deferred medical treatment, the Spakinect medical providers will communicate the rationale and decision to the onsite clinical staff, prior to ending the call with the patient.

Upon the receipt of a deferral, your Medical Director or Supervising Physician may log in to the  Spakinect client portal  to review the deferral and amend the decision if they choose. If your Medical Director or Supervising Physician does not know their login information, they may reset their password at anytime from the myspakinect.com login page (see Resetting Client Portal Password FAQ here).

Before continuing please determine when the patient was seen. If the patient was seen prior to November 1, 2023, please head to the archived patients section and continue with the instructions below.

To Amend, add notes, or co-sign on a chart please follow the below.
(Step 1)  Navigate to the Medical Director homepage

(Step 2)  Find the patient's GFE that you would like to amend from the list displayed below. This can be done by searching for a patient via the search field, or scrolling down and finding the patients visits based on when it was completed.

(Step 3)  Once you have found the GFE you would like to amend, select either "Co-Sign" or "Add Note".
The  Co-Sign  button will attach a time-stamped electronic signature of the Medical Director.

The  Add a Note  button will open a text box for your Medical Director to include their own notes. These notes will also be attached with a time-stamped electronic signature.
